After playing their first game in 2008 the side feel they are ready for some competitive cricket. Based out of the pub of the same name in Clapton, Royal Sovereign describe themselves as a team "formed of a group of local drinkers from around the world with varying levels of cricketing experience".

Comparing themselves as Hackneys equivalent of the maverick Sri Lanka side, there could be some entertaining cricket on show this summer!
